DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
The Digestive tract is a series of hollow organs joined in a long, twisting tube from the mouth to the anus that help the body break down carbohydrates, fats and protein for absorption. The system includes the mouth, the pharynx, the esophagus, the stomach, the liver, the gall bladder, the pancreas, the small intestine, the large intestine, the rectum, and the anus.
The process begins in the mouth and ends in the rectum.
